Jenn Volz

Board Member at Large

Jennifer Volz is in a family business with her brother, owning four area car dealerships and businesses and properties relating to. Throughout her 25+ year career (probably longer as started out washing cars at 10?) the dealership group has grown and flourished. Jenn’s mom has been a long-time board member of several charities including Green Chimneys, Abilities beyond disabilities, and Putnam Hospital. The dealerships often run charity campaigns for discounts and services to assist local charities.

At 8 years old Jenn found our first pregnant cat and “mom” cat had a litter of kittens. She was always going to be the crazy cat lady, it was never in question. Jenn is relatively new to fostering starting with the 3 foster fails of 2020. Buster, Basil, and Baylee (now called Girl or Rufus) – Or the B’s. They joined 4 other cats and a dog. After 1st foster fail, they fostered another group and took a break, and then in the fall of 2022, they took on nonstop kittens and cats. Always willing to add on one or two more last minute as well.

Jenn’s house is filled with hockey players and always lots of teens to play with kittens etc. Jenn was also a ski instructor in Breckenridge and enjoys Trivia and beating people in Connect Four, and Jenga. The teens, Brylee (7-year-old ridgeback something mix), and the younger cats all enjoy new kitten arrivals. Brylee follows them around and makes sure that they are not up to too much mischief, and if they are she lets the humans know. The older ones, well they just avoid the whole lot for the most part. The family lives in Ridgefield, CT.
