Secretary
Diane has been a volunteer and foster with Rock n Rescue since 2020 and on the Board since 2022. She is an experienced consulting and training professional with over 30+ years of experience with non-for-profit organizations. Her expertise is in evaluating and monitoring business, IT and operational risks, controls and governance practices. Her passion for animals as well her experience give her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for animals and people
Diane grew up in a house with dogs, cats, gerbils and a rabbit. She was taught at a very young age that a pet is part of the family and must be treated that way. She and her husband Dave have always had cats throughout their 34 years of marriage as well as a Newfoundland and a hamster. When her 15 year old sibling cats Spike and Spooky both passed in 2020, Diane and her family decided to foster. She has fostered a blind cat, a tripod and many others. Disco was her first foster fail and her most recent is Nessie who came to Rock N Rescue with a broken leg after a window fall in NYC. She also became an active volunteer who inputs all of our adoptions into our system.
In addition to her consulting work, Diane is an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University’s Welch School of Business where she teaches courses in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management, Information Systems and Accounting Information Systems. Diane received her MBA in Information Systems from Pace University in New York and her BBA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
